God he really should not be here. It felt alright just staying as her friend and talking some shit. He did not care if she likes the chocolate in his pocket. He did not care if she was going to have dinner with whom. He just felt good standing near her. His heart was beating fast, which made him felt like a normal person again. “All good. What are you doing here?” “Nothing. I-I mean nothing serious. Just walking in this gigantic building that feels like a maze you know?” What was he talking about? He had no idea. He hated the ramblings that always appeared when he's nervous. Maybe he should just give up on inviting her to a date (for the god-knows-how-many of times)? Wait, who was that behind that pillar? Fuck, it was bird brain (worse, he was smirking). He definitely would not let this go if Bucky did not ask her the question. Bucky felt his palms were sweating so hard that he was sure 70% of water in his body was there. He needed to think of something to talk quickly, or she would walk away. Think Bucky, think! Where did the 1940s Bucky Barnes go? He hated himself so much. Sensing the tension of Bucky, Quinn was worried. Then she saw Sam in the reflection of the glass door behind Bucky, and she thought of the day before Steve and Sam were telling her that Bucky definitely felt something for her, and he just never had the courage to ask her out.
