三十而立?
"Buck, how do you deal with getting old?" Such a casual question, might be mistaken as a joke. Bucky turned to look at Quinn. He was ready to tease her about this silly question, but his mind was changed after seeing the seriousness in her obsidian-liked eyes. How adorable. He could not help but chuckled. "Trust me, I still cannot believe I'm more than 100 years old already." "Hmmm," Quinn drew out the sound, as if she was still taking in what he said. "Understandable. But what I mean was that- time flies too rapidly. It is just a moment for 10 years to come and go. Sometimes I doubted the meaning of all of these, about everything. Am I doing things right? Why do people seem like they always know what to do? Why have no one tell me, or teach me how to live? Am I too dumb for this? What should I do? And how am I supposed to due with all that?" Bucky nodded, trying to organize his thoughts. But he was just a man lost in time, a man who was still figuring his position in this era. How could he know? He wanted the answer too, if there was any. "I don't know, sweetheart," Bucky admitted. "I guess that's the question for humanity, to be honest. That's why philosophy exists." "That's true. But it seems like you've never been bothered by these kind of questions," Quinn pouted, which never fail to make Bucky laugh. In fact, he did laugh. His laughter was deep, with his eyes crinkled. "Are you sure? Because I'm sure that's not true. Remember those nightmares? And numerous attempts of pushing you out?" "Okay, okay, maybe not 'never'. At least you are doing much better now?" Quinn corrected herself, still being not convinced. "Yeah, but at the end of the day I'm only human, just like you, darling. The difference is that I've got more life experience than you do. I am not an expert but I'm confident to say you will handle life wiser in the process of growing up." "Which means getting old." "Exactly." Both of them smiled. Quinn sighed, being a little bit more satisfied with this conversation. "Damn, that's some old man's wisdom," Quinn teased. Bucky laughed again, pulling her into his arms. This little brat could not stop making fun of him, could she? Bucky was helpless against her. She was his favourite little brat after all. And he was her favourite old man too. "I cannot wait to get older with you," Quinn said, looking into Bucky's eyes. That look was full of love and adoration. Growing up was not that bad after all, she guessed.
